Terms of Service

1. Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by WP Dublin ("we," "us," or "our"). By engaging our services, you ("Client") agree to be bound by these terms.
2. Services Offered
We provide three main categories of services:
WordPress Website Maintenance (€49/month)
Monthly maintenance service including WordPress core updates, plugin updates, theme updates, malware protection, server software guidance, CDN guidance, uptime monitoring, and website backups.
Emergency Services (€250 one-time)
Critical error fixes, malware cleanup, custom migrations, domain changes, server/WordPress updates, emergency troubleshooting, email deliverability fixes, and DNS/SSL issue resolution.
WordPress Website Development (€1,200+ one-time)
Custom WordPress design, mobile-responsive layouts, SEO-friendly structure, performance optimization, lead capture forms, and 90 days of email support with complete handover documentation.
3. Access Requirements
For Maintenance Services
To provide ongoing maintenance services, we require:
- Satellite/Monitoring Plugin Installation: We need to install a monitoring plugin on your website to track performance, uptime, and security issues
- Access Requirements: Either hosting control panel access OR FTP/SFTP credentials
- WordPress Admin Access: Administrator-level access to your WordPress dashboard
For Emergency Services
For emergency fixes and troubleshooting, we require:
- Immediate Access: Either hosting control panel access OR FTP/SFTP credentials
- WordPress Access: Administrator-level access to WordPress (if applicable)
- DNS Access: May require access to domain DNS settings for certain issues
For Web Design Services
For new website development:
- Domain Ownership: Client retains full ownership of the domain name
- Hosting Setup: Client is responsible for hosting arrangements (we can provide guidance)
- No Vendor Lock-in: Complete ownership and access to all website files, themes, and customizations
- Full Handover: All credentials, documentation, and access provided upon completion
4. Client Ownership and Rights
Website Design Ownership
For all web design projects:
- Client owns 100% of the website design and all custom code
- Client retains full ownership of domain name and hosting
- No proprietary systems or vendor lock-in mechanisms
- Complete source code and design files provided upon project completion
- Client has full rights to modify, transfer, or work with other developers
Credentials and Access
Upon project completion or service termination:
- All login credentials transferred to client
- Complete documentation provided
- No ongoing access requirements unless specifically contracted for maintenance
5. Payment Terms
Maintenance Services
- Monthly billing at €49 per month
- Payment due at the beginning of each month
- Service can be cancelled with 30 days notice
- No long-term contracts required
Emergency Services
- Fixed rate of €250 per emergency
- Payment due upon completion of work
- Scope clearly defined before work begins
Development Projects
- Starting at €1,200 for basic websites
- 50% deposit required to begin work
- Balance due upon completion
- Includes 90 days of email support
6. Service Limitations and Responsibilities
Backup Services
Website backups are included in maintenance plans but are subject to:
- Available storage capacity on your hosting account
- Website size and usage limitations
- Hosting provider backup policies
Server Software Updates
We provide guidance for server software updates (PHP, MySQL, OS) but:
- Actual server updates must be performed by hosting provider or system administrator
- We provide step-by-step guidance and recommendations
- Client is responsible for coordinating with hosting provider
CDN Configuration
We provide guidance for CDN services (Cloudflare, Bunny CDN) including:
- Configuration recommendations
- Optimization suggestions
- Performance enhancement guidance
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and timely information
- Maintaining secure passwords and access credentials
- Backing up any critical data before major changes
- Coordinating with hosting providers for server-level changes
- Providing necessary access as outlined in Section 3
8. Liability and Warranties
While we strive for excellence in all services:
- Services are provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind
- We recommend clients maintain their own independent backups
- Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service
- We are not responsible for third-party service outages or issues
9. Service Termination
By Client
- Maintenance services can be cancelled with 30 days written notice
- No cancellation fees or penalties
- Final month is not prorated
By WP Dublin
We may terminate services for:
- Non-payment after 30 days
- Violation of these terms
- Abusive or unprofessional conduct
- 30 days written notice for any reason
10. Support and Communication
- Response time: Within 24-48 hours for maintenance clients
- Emergency services: Response within 4-8 hours during business hours
- New development projects include 90 days of email support
11. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms with 30 days notice to existing clients. Continued use of services after modification constitutes acceptance of new terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Irish law. Any disputes will be resolved in Dublin, Ireland.
